Alright. I'm Done.
American in Venice
Ciao from Roma! These are shots from our group dinner. There was wine on the table when we arrived and there was a man playing guitar for us. The meat and cheese were our starters, followed by the veggie plates, followed by pasta, followed by salad, followed by dessert. We ended up singing and dancing, and basically charming the entire place. We had a line of employees waiting at the door to say ciao as we left. A good night.
Dinner tonight! I made mozzarella stuffed chicken breast. At first I thought, “how does one fill a piece of meat that is so thin?” But, alas! The universe is tricky. I pounded the chicken until it was wafer thin, put puts of butter on top, then laid out strips of mozzarella. I rolled that up, dipped it in egg, then homemade breadcrumbs. Baked for twenty minutes, then poured white wine over it and let it bake for 10 more minutes. Served with garlic zucchini and eggplant, it was delicious dinner eaten on our balcony, while beginning the epic rereading of the Harry Potter series.
I got my quiz back, 100! I also did really well on my first writing composition, but I suspect I will not do as well on my second one. I was not as thorough with my editing, but such is life. I went souvenir shopping today, I figured I might as well get some of it out of the way so I can send the bulk of my stuff home with my parents when they come to visit. I got Carnevale masks for my babies back at home, something pretty for Elena, and part of a gift for James. I am slowly working my way through the list!
Overall, nothing too exciting today. Just hot, hot, hot. O caldo, caldo, caldo. Our final exam is next Tuesday, ole!
